Displaying the scars of battle on its well-worn and damaged horns, this Cape buffalo has clearly been through it. With part of its ear missing and a cataract developing in its left eye, life has surely taken its toll on this great beast. Even the insects have taken advantage of this survivor, burrowing into the skin of its irritated ears. Life in Africa is rough.
