An elephants eye is the source of color in the image that is black and white except for the eye.

The Eye

Zimbabwe, Africa

Elephants have relatively small eyes compared to their overall size. But eye contact is crucial for social interactions, enabling visual recognition and emotional communication within their herds. Thier vision is suited for low-light conditions, allowing them to detect movement from a distance, but they do have limited depth perception. They possess unique adaptations like a third eyelid, that aids in vision protection and lubrication in the dusty environments they inhabit.
