The Cuernos del Paine are easily recognizable landmarks in Chile’s oft-visited Torres del Paine National Park. The varied geology cries out for exploration of this rugged area, and countless interesting images can be made there.

This area of the park has been ravaged by a few wildfires over the years, most started accidentally by tourists. While nature is resilient and the grasses and shrubs have since recovered, the bleached-out skeletons of the dead trees remain. It will take many years for the trees to re-populate the area.
