Avalanche Creek
Montana, USA
Avalanche Creek in Glacier National Park, Montana, originates in Avalanche Lake. The color of the blue water testifies to its glacial-fed origins. Rock flower, or glacial silt is created from the mechanical grinding of the glacier, and often flows into the creek after heavy rains.
